"Textile designer Katie Whitton, a student from Norwich University of the Arts has won the New Designers Tigerprint Award 2013. It was a drawing trip to Spain that inspired Katie’s hand engineered abstract markings of buildings inspired her collection of prints that the judges commended “A contrast of scale and detail, Katie’s work expresses a true gift and shows confidence on combining marks, gestures and colour.” Katie will take her skills to the Tigerprint studio and continue to develop her screen printing techniques post graduation."
