Stay in touch and we'll hopefully be in London again in May 🙏🏼
We’ve decided to postone our Drawing meet-up on Sunday 22nd. Though there still so many unknowns around COVID-19, it brings relief to know that drawing can be enjoyed almost anywhere - especially at home. Even though the next few months will be greatly disrupted for all of us, I urge everyone to take the opportunity to slow down, pause, draw, read, play, make, mend, phonecall, look out of the window, and of course, take care of themselves. You can also join The Drawing Club facebook group (via the Drawing Escapes page), if you would like to find motivation to spark your own creative projects, or have a space to share your work with like-minded others.
Stay in touch and we'll hopefully be in London again in May 🙏🏼

Here is a small collection of drawings by Isabella Mitchell. Izzy has been organising the recent drawing meet-ups in London and is a Drawing Escapes alumni. Each work is a record of a location when travelling; little fragments of experience locked up in graphic line and textural mark-making. I love the energy of the colour and the use of space. They have a very contemporary feel and yet they retain a kind of nostalgic classicism. Come and meet her in London on the 22nd.
