6 nights in Ubud - Ubud is a cultural centre and a great place to begin with great food and loads to do and see. There are temples, a Royal Palace and the opportunity to see gorgeous traditional dance performances every evening with live gamelan music and traditional shadow puppet shows. Ubud has a fantastic market, traditional crafts and a museum, all surounded by beautiful rice paddies. It's a great place for a traditional massage or a yoga class, as well as silver and jewellery classes, Batik and wood carving. There’s a very good chance of seeing some religious festivals here.
3 nights at Mt Batur - Here we have amazing an lake and superb landscape at the base of an extinct volcano. Stunning for drawing and we can walk up to the top of the Mt Batur volcano, if you're feeling active, or just chill and draw by the lake. We will also visit one of the Spas on the edge of the lake for an afternoon relaxing in the hot springs.
On route to Amed we'll have a day drawing at the Royal water palace at Tirtagangga and the opportunity of seeing some of the most beautiful rice terraces in the world!
6 nights in Amed - beach resorts and fishing villages with great views and lots of boats for drawing. Perfect for chilling, snorkeling and you can try scuba diving if you want!
2 more nights in Ubud - For shopping for clothes, jewellery and local crafts. Also time for one last massage followed by a plate of nasi goring and an ice cold Bintang beer!
