Porto is a gem. Beautiful architecture, medieval cobblestone streets, peaceful parks, river views and walks, fantastic food and, or course, Port!  

Top this off with friendly locals, who are obsessed with sardines, and very reasonable prices and we have all the ingredients for a fabulous drawing location! We're just back from our research trip and we are convinced that it's perfect for one of our new 2026 destinations.

We loved the old tram-cars and the riverfront and took a little cruise up and down the Douro to see the city from the water.
